Thanks from the CHSW!
A message from Karen, Head of fundraising at Children’s Hospice SW…
Dear all,
I just wanted to say thank you so very much for taking part in Ride for Precious Lives and your generous support for Children’s Hospice South West. The weekend was an incredible success and our sincere thanks go to Trevor for organising the event and to you all for cycling or volunteering in the support team. The sight of 50 cyclists riding down Ladies Mile at the end was a true spectacle – and one I will never forget. I feel privileged to have shared in this experience and very much enjoyed spending the three days with you all! I am overwhelmed by the sum raised and the sheer determination of all the cyclists – a true testament to the dedication of every single one of you.
To have welcomed you all to Charlton Farm, the third and final hospice stop off on our journey, was an honour. I was so pleased that a few of the care team and two of our children were able to come out to greet you all and cheer you off again! All the money raised will make such a difference to the families within our care. I would love to share Little Bridge House or Charlton Farm with you. We have monthly open days at both hospices and it would be great to show you around so that you can see the impact of your 240 mile effort first hand! Please get in touch with me if you would be interested in visiting.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you! And roll on Ride for Precious Lives 2010?!!
With very best wishes,
Karen
